New member in Wiltshire - help needed!

    Hi all,

A quick intro.  I just bought a 2015 1200X but don't get to collect it for 2 weeks as there are a couple of things that need doing and the dealers workshop is full :-(  Anyway, loved riding it and looking forward to being an owner.  It's going to be a work maching for me as my other bike is a fair weather toy (Victory Hammer).

One question that's been puzzling me.  The dash and screen on the bike didn't seem to be perfectly 'square' to the handlebars.  Hard to explain, but it just looked like someone had reached forward and twisted the dash, screen and fairing slightly.  Don't get me wrong...it's a really tiny bit out, but not straight nonetheless.  It's a 2015 bike with 1800 miles and seems to have been well looked after.  I've inspected it really closely and can't see any sign of damage to the front, forks or any part of the bike near the front end.  It's definitely been dropped (stationary I suspect) as the plastic engine cover on the RHS with the Honda logo on it is scratched (see photo) and the rear brake pedal is scratched underneath (both being replaced by the dealer) but that's it; no damage to the crash bars and immaculate in every other respect.

Should I be worried or do Honda 'offset' the dash slightly for some reason?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dom.

They're not a Honda dealer unfortunately Denis, so no other CT's to look at....this one was a part exchange.

Could be an optical illusion caused by the ignition switch being offset to the top yoke. When looking from riding position it does look a little asymmetrical. That could be it, but worth looking at another CT to satisfy yourself before picking up the bike.
