Greetings from Belgium, Riko - help advise me :)

    Hi ya'all :)

Lets jump right into this :)

I'm looking for a powerful bike to do some long distance travel on and that I can use for my weekend rides if the weahter is sh#tty (Belgium...) and that provides better protection against the elements than my current bike does, a Honda CB1100EX.

I've already tested a DVT Multi, rented it for a day and filmed my day, I cannot upload the videos since the speedo would have to be blurred :)
There are a few pics I made that day, here are 2:

So all I can do is say, it was a freaking blast!!

Sound, weight, comfort, speed, accel, wind protection, looks...it had it all, except, ther were 2 major concerns: reliability and cost :)

So the DCT CT is on my list to restride and a 2013-2014 Multistrada.

The figures of the CT are actually impressive too, at the rear wheel: 108 HP @ 7900rpm and 108 NM @ 5400rpm
Of all ADV bikes, the torque stats are actually one of the most impressive..

A few pics of CTs I took on bike shows:

    I love this combo pic:

Well here is me on my pride and joy, a bike wich I will not sell for anything else, I'd feel sorry if I do I know that for sure

I also have a small 50cc Zoomer/Ruckus for my short 'commute' to work :)

Normally I'll have a go on a CT DCT end this month, looking forward to it.

And somewhere next week I'm gonna check out a 2014 Multi with only 16k KM for 13.000 euro, talk to the owner, ride with him and film the ride with my gopro.

    Stay tuned :)

Welkom Riko from South of the border which I cross every day to go to Mechelen :-)
A local Mechelen colleague should also soon join the forum too - he got his black/red manual CT 10 days ago

Good luck with the shopping and keep us posted
    Cheers D

    merci/danku  :002:

    I'll sure do :)

One of these days I'll buy a GoPro Session 5, nice compact for those testrides.

When I tested the DVT Multi I rented a GoPro, unfortunatelly its too time consuming with my limited software to apply some kind of mask over the speedo :)

I'll try not avoid the speedo in the footage when I testride the CT.

I am wondering if EX Multistrada owners can share their opinions about the CT, or vice versa, ex CT owners who switched over to the Multi (if they are still active here)

:400: along Riko, hopefully you'll come to the right decision in your search for your next bike be it the Italian stallion - fickle, highly temperamental needing constent care and attention or the bullet proof japanese alternative - steadfastly dependable, purposeful, while remaining silky smooth and totally cosseting.  :028:
    Good luck.  :305:

That is a very nice DVT in the photos. TBH I have always thought the Ducati to be a nicer looking machine than the Honda CT. Although there are time when I look at the CT and think it is a very nice looking bike...but overall the DVT get from me on looks.
I bought the CT because after test riding several motorcycles my girlfriend reckoned the CT was the comfiest for her. I wanted the Triumph Explorer...hey ho!
I suppose the CT will have better reliability than the Ducati though...or at least that is what seems to be the case.
What do you mean it's raining....get ootside and ride the thing.
