I kind of feel like I am missing out ...
Back in the day when I did my big rides we had no cameras .. it is all 'up here' which is not the safest of places!
Great videos guys ... keep them coming  :152:

    Hi

We were lucky with the weather on that ride and we had planned another pass but it was blocked by a rock fall.
Switzerland is expensive but worth the trip even with the long ride and would have liked to stayed longer even going in to Austria (found to be better priced on a Christmas trip with XYL - not on bike).
The Swiss roads are great better than Germany, France and UK graded in that order.

Tip when planning a route.....  Google maps are aware when a pass or road is closed and will reroute you  :087:
Mountain pass's are closed in the winter and there are website detailing when they are open and estimated dates.

Glad you enjoyed my ride and memories of our 2st ride into Switzerland.

Off to Holland France & Germany this year down as far as Coldiz so fingers crossed for good weather.

Been to Switzerland as part of a tour the last two years. Its brilliant. Theres no doubt its not the cheapest place in the world but weve stayed, on both occaisions at a place called Hof and Post in Innertkerchen. The place is spotless, lovely big rooms and also does a half board option which is great value.  Its located an the Junction of the Susten and the Grimsel passes and can be a base for riding several passes and some of the best riding youll ever do.

PistonBroke, you need to do it mate, its incredible.

This is one of the five or six passes you can do in a day ride from the Hof and Post.

Not the quality of Mins films but you get the idea.

    Great Video Hartley

Love the cows after 04:00 more stuff to avoid on the road. I think those cobbles could be nasty in the wet  :005:

We had aimed to do that route but to a landslide it was not possible to enter Andermatt & Wassen from the South so we used another Northern route, Klausenstrasse Pass as we were coming from Lake Constance, trying to follow the Rhine from sea to source over a couple of trips.

FYI I have tried several camera positions and find mounting it on the bike has vibration issues and can be too low an angle, so helmet mounting seems to be best.
Shame that Youtube reduces the quality but thanks for sharing, shame about the volume of flies in the video - Crosstourer Col de Bonnette ascent.  :004:

Great vids Min, really enjoyed them but I'm afraid curiosity has got the better of me and I have to ask - why the two sat navs?
