    Replacement M5 screen bolts

I am trying to source  4 number  M5 screen bolts for my 2015 CT.
The existing fasteners are  12.5mm diameter  and 16mm in length.
The top two now need to be 20mm in length to fit my new Engimoto sat nav bracket.
The fasteners provided with the mount are also only 9mm diameter.
I can, and have found 20mm length  button head bolts, however they are also  9mm diameter.
Any ideas where I can get 20mm long and 12mm diameter bolts?

     Terry

What is 12.5mm Terry? the diameter of the head I take it. we have a company called Wentin Fasteners here in Yeovil and they stock most things like that and I am sure they will do mail order for you, mind you the post will cost more than the four bolts

What about trying someone like David Silver parts company,   01728 833020 , i know he had many bits for Blackbirds but i dont think he specialised in them,he was more just a honda man, i know the CT is new but he could just have some.  :084:
I suppose it would be worth a call tomorrow, if he dosent have them then i'm sure he could point you in the right direction.
    Good luck terryt.  :028:  :031:
keep it shiny side up !!!

    Hi Terry,

Try searching M5 Flanged head screws on ebay, theres loads come up, may take a bit of searching to find one that gives you the head diameter.

Just a thought, I see that the reason you want the longer screw is to fit an enigmoto mount.

I have the same mount, it was fitted to my 13 bike and have just fitted it to my new 15 CT. I found on my old bike that the GPS mount wobbled a bit when i used the screen bolts as they screw into rubber feet so i bolted it directly to the screen mountings. Was pretty solid after that.

    Hope this helps

    Paul

Thanks for all the suggestions, prior to posting.  I have searched eBay and Amazon for the larger 12.5mm diameter head with no luck.

I did think that fastening the sat nav  mount to the rubber well nuts might be an issue, however my screen is a Givi Ailflow and looking at it, (and your picture) the second bolt head could foul the screen.
I may just give it a try through the screen/well nut.

Pro bolt do have a suitable 12.00mm diameter mushroom head and I will try Wentin Fasteners tomorrow.

Next task after this, wiring up the sat nav
    Thanks again  for the suggestions.
