    Starcom1 GPS Mount

I'm a U.S. owner of a '16 VFR12X and very interested in obtaining the best Garmin Zumo 660/665 mount for my new bike.  I've been doing my homework and this looks like it's at the top of the list:

Problem is for me that I don't see shipping available to North America and the company has not replied to any of my attempts to contact them (maybe just the holidays?)

Does anyone here have a real-world user report on this mount and/or has anyone in 'Merica been able to obtain one?

Thanks in advance for any insight from this very knowledgeable owners group!   :020:

That one looks made for the pre 2016 screen design.  May not be a direct fit for your bike.  Take a look at pics of old and new screen type.

Thanks Greg.  I did wonder about that.  How different are the dash's/screens?

Have any recommendations for 2016 GPS mounts?  I want something above the display, not handlebar mounted.

The only 2016 onwards GPS mount I'm aware of is made by a company called Engimoto.

I have one for the previous CT and have been very happy with it.

Thanks Paul.  I found them online while looking for companies that make mounts but I did read at least a couple of negative reviews in this forum about vibration and bouncing over bumps.

I will take this as confirmation though no matter what that the 2016 bikes do require different mounts than the older bikes.

My mount does move a little but nothing i consider an issue. That said I've not fixed it quite as they suggest, mine is bolted directly to the screen supports, independently of the screen mounting bolts.
This is of coarse irrelevant to you but I have looked closely at the 16 type and it mounts in a completely different way.

There is always the option of mounting a GPS on the handlebar or the bar clamps?

MIGSEL (Michael) makes one, you will need to ask if it fits a 2016.

Hmmm...interesting.  I'm not usually a fan of the RAM mounts and needing to micro-adjust my devices each time I take them on and off.

It sure looks like Honda threw mount manufacturer's a curve-ball by redesigning the screen/dash area!
