    Sunrise to sunset ride

Hi all, just muting an idea ive had of a ride to do for ages.  :180:
I have always wanted to ride to Lowestoft to see the sun rise and then ride to Holyhead South Stack to see the sun set on the same day.  :305:
My plan would be to ride to Lowestoft on the Friday 21-4-17, stay in a hotel  there and see the sun rise in the East on the Saturday 22-4 17.  :156:
On Saturday 22-4-17 we then ride over to Holyhead South Stack lighthouse to see the sun set in the west.  :037:
The total distance is 362 by motorway and 6h 9 mins to complete.  :138:
On A roads the distances are 344 miles and 6 h 35 mins or 328 and 6 h 23 mins. These are just lifted of google.  :138:
Sunrise on 22-4-17 is at 5;57 so not to early, we could go back to the hotel for a breakfast.  :043:
Sunset on 22-4-17 is at 20;26 at south stack.
Then we can stay in a hotel/premiere inn in Bangor.  :169:
So as you see this would give us 14 h 29 mins to get from lowestoft  to south stack on the Saturday.  :047:
I will find out about hotels  if any one is interested and i can give names so you can book your own.  :002:
The premiere inns i have looked at quickly give prices of £57-£58.  :015:
My wife and i will be doing this ride anyway, but, if anyone would like to join us then you would be most welcome.  :152:
If it was a large number who say yes to doing it we can always split into smaller groups.  :084:
Looking forward to many many replies from everyone.  :005:
Give me your thoughts and ideas please.  :164:
I cant always get to my computer every day so it may be a day or two before i can reply to any questions or even look at your ideas.  :211:
    Pistnbroke.
    Ride safe all.  :031:  :028:
keep it shiny side up !!!

    Hi Pistnbroke,

I might be interested if I can persuade the wife. I'm originally from Suffolk, so have some local-ish knowledge.

Sounds like a plan ... and I would like to be travelling two-up as well.
However,  it is outside the easter school hols so might have to negotiate a single pass.

Hi Martmouse, wouldn't that be the last weekend of the Easter school hols.
I suppose it depends on local authority dates, sorry.
