I have to agree with REX a bit. I find that when I try to be pro-active and activate the signal light, they always stop flashing before I start to initiate my turn. I always have to re-activate them, sometimes several times. The positive side is that I never ride with my signal flashing continually like those who forget the to turn off their signal. I wish they could adjusted in the time they flash before canceling.

I find the indicators cancel way to soon. Especially coming off motorway or dual carriageway when slowing down from 70/80. They suck!

Because it’s NOT a fix.

Would it be nice to be able adjust the time or distance to cancel.......YES.

Would it be smart or a reasonable solution to disable the auto canceling.......NO

Why? Because you said so? Well, that's just your opinion - nothing more.

That's for you personally - not for everybody. Other guys might want to disable auto cancelling completely. That's exactly why new Africa Twin has that option in the menu.

And, by the way, I didn't asked YOU why you haven't disabled auto canceling on your bike - I asked the other guys. So why don't you let them reply, instead of answering for them?

One reason I don't disable the self canceling signal indicators is I like the fact that they self cancel. It prevents me from riding long distances like some riders that forget to turn them off. I always made an effort to manually cancel them when my bike was not equipped with this option but I have to admit that I have forgotten to turn them off on occasions. The concept is great but could be improved with better options.

So far, I'm willing to deal with the issue and having the benefits of self canceling.
