I used Igoumenitsa-Bari ferry when I was living in Istanbul and travelling to Sicily.

If you like bad roads go to Albania :) I visited them shortly this summer but didn't like the roads or traffic. Turkey is ok but you have to be careful. But it seems you will go just to Dardanelles, not to Istanbul. Bulgaria Black sea cost is nice, I have not been in Romanian coast.

According to current political situation I would pass Ukraine and come home via Alps.

By the way did you check the mileage? 4-5 weeks is nice but you need to ride a lot!

My five cents.

Pete,
I rode my CT through Albania last year, heading for Greece, yes the roads are dire, lots of huge potholes, gravel sections, with no warning. You will be okay on a CT though, with care. Would not take my car there though, the suspension/tyres would be wrecked!
