Bought the DCT CT in April to replace the trusty 1150GS as a early treat to myself, given the big 60 birthday was last week
Last ride out today was 100 mile spirited run around mid Wales before she gets SORN'ed for the winter at the end of this month
Just clocked over 18000miles - so that's 9000 miles I've ridden in 6 months covering :-
* 12 countries [if you include Wales and England!]
* France
* Belgium
* Luxembourg
* Austria
* Italy
* Switzerland
* Slovenia
* Czech Rep
* Germany
Done Stelvio, Grimsel, Col d'Iseran, Col de labonnette
Also done a Offa's Dyke - top to bottom
2 x B road tours of North Wales and Snowdonia
UK West coast to East coast across it's widest
All in all not a bad season's riding tbh
Do have to say that of all the bikes I've owned, the CT ticks the boxes for me ..........
DCT configuration is exceptional when you use it in "manual mode" and the V4 grunt is addictive
So smooth you really don't appreciate just how fast you can accelerate and drive through the bends
OK the suspension is still below average - even when you've spend time setting it up as best you can - but you simply ride to it's capabilities
The brakes aren't progressive enough for me
The wind buffeting is still a serious pillion issue
But all in all it's not been a bad season
Typical Honda engineering means she's not drunk a drop of oil - only had to replace the battery and correct some appalling wiring and servicing issues from that "well known" Honda main dealer in the South East who's name begins with "D"
So thanks to a lot of people in here who've electronically helped, advised and supported - it means a lot - it's been a wicked year! Here's to hopefully meeting up with a some CT riders in 2016
Here's to a few bimbles out in 2016
