Window 10
on: August 18, 2015, 03:27:38 PM
Is it worth the upgrade?

Currently have 8.1 and I am no computer expert, so don't want to get in a pickle.

I can get it for free according to Microsoft - reserve and load when notified.

Whats the opinion?

Ive recently done the free upgrade, few bits and pieces are different but not a great deal. Mate of mine hates it but he hated 8 too.

I'll be making an image of my HD with Windows 7 first before I go ahead and upgrade to 10. My mate has upgraded and says it's good.

Winows 8 is Windows 7 with touch screen enhancements.

If you don't have a touch screen, then no real point in having 8

In fairness to Microsoft, 10 seems to be OK

Had to for 2 weeks and seems "all good" - and its free for life so nothing to lose

It's worth upgrading to iOS..if you care for something that works, all the time. :164:

never had any issues with win 7 or 8. Win 10 looks even better. You can't upgrade to ios without being tied into overpriced Apple hardware. With windows you are hardware independent. Apple is a trap for the uninitiated.
