Zumo 390 ram mounts
on: August 12, 2015, 07:46:58 AM
Sorry tapatalk won't search???

I have bought a new zumo and would like to know options to fit other than std in box

I have used an offset from the mirror on other bikes on my 550 but the fluid clutch reservoir would appear to not let me do this

Thanks and sorry can't search

Palmer screen brackets with the crossbar, mounts above the dash for better visibility.

Or a RAM flat ball mount on the screen bolted through.

I have the engimoto mount too, its not bad, but there is still a fair bit of shake and I just have the bare sat nav mounted, which for the record, is also a Garmin 390lm. The unit itself is very light, just seems to be not the easiest of bikes to get your sat nav just out of eye-line but keeping it easy to see.

I bet I could build an adjustable Palmer-type screen and sat nav holder with some mecanno doubled up, and a RAM mount. Touched up with Hammerite. Watch this space.. :112:

Yes, its a well made bit of kit, though I did have to modify it a bit where the cable comes out of the back of the sat nav dock, nothing serious though. Like you say, I too would buy another if I needed to.
