Hi UB, you say it was never fitted but not suitable for you.
Out of interest, what was the problem?
I have one and I'm really pleased with it. Did have to make a small cutout to the plate to give clearance for the cable on my Garmin 390 but other than that it works a treat.
Did point out this problem to the manufacturer and they said they were looking into it.

Basically I am too tall.
With the Sat Nav fitted I can not see the bikes display properly.
I now have a mount on the handlebar clamp bolts, just 2 brackets on some spacers with a 13mm bar between them.
Its a bit like the Touratech type.
not the best place for a Sat Nav but what can you do !!

I'm about 6 ft and it works fine for me, however i can see that if I was much taller I would have the same issue as you have.

I'm about 5'10" and mine's just right for me but yes I can also see how it could be a problem for taller folks
