REAR SHOCK REPLACED TODAY
on:
June 17, 2015, 07:49:29 PM
Rear shock replaced under warranty today. . .just need to set up as I had it before. I used VEEJAY'S settings from early post and will use same again unless anyone has found better set up option ? Also, when the new one is fitted, do I need to set the rebound damping again or is this not part of the new shock ? Do I just need to alter the spring preload to my preference ?

I had mine replaced last week, turn preload fully clockwise then anticlockwise 5 clicks, rebound is in exactly the same place as your old shock (it's probably exactly the same shock anyway) turn fully to H then 3/4 ish back towards S and that should be you, it will feel a bit firmer as it's new

Thanks Pete . . . Dealer says it's a whole new shock and the new spring is now black (white before) . . . I'll use your settings from the start and see how it is . . .thanks again !

No worries, my spring was black so I must have had one of the newer models originally, glad they have a 3 year warranty

I think you'll find that most of the 'new' feeling comes from the new tyres.
