Back on the Road!
on: May 14, 2015, 05:42:41 PM
Hi all,
After a long break after I ripped a muscle in my leg, I am getting on my bike for the first time again tomorrow.  :046:

See you out on the road!  :305: :305: :305:

Cheers, Doc

Good grief Doc. Good to hear from you and that you are on the mend.
The bloody strange thing is I was just looking back some old thread 10minutes ago (due in part to the recent thread comeback by Veejays first week thread). I was looking for the thread that I was getting a hard time about being on here ( lol yes Ian....you haha) and seen you answering my question about trekker top boxes. Then is went on to Go-Pro's lol.

Anyway...welcome back.

PS, still a few of the early folk still here.
What do you mean it's raining....get ootside and ride the thing.

Hi Slomo,
I hope you are well.
I just keep getting these stupid injuries that keep you house-bound and off the bike. Hopefully now I will have some better luck.
Going out for a ride with my son tomorrow on his CB1000R - can't wait.

Cheers,
Doc

This got me thinking back Brian.........  checked my own posts from almost 3 years ago when I finally managed to find a dealership with a DCT on demo

quote from 10-06-2012 :-

I have been wanting to buy one bike to 'do it all' instead of the 3 bikes i run at the moment :164:

Having completed a 3 hour test ride on the Triumph explorer last weekend and was put off by the 'hair trigger' throttle and STOOPID cruise control system (read 'dodgy') i have finally found a dealer that has a DCT on demo :046: :152:

I was all arranged to pick up a Manual geared version from Blackpool honda yesterday and to ride it to Lancaster honda (same group) to then take out the DCT for a run and then swop back to the Man back to blackpool, then the rains came BIG style so i cancelled :157:

However the nice young sales lady called Laura re-arranged it all for today after seeing the weather forecast was better so off we went (my son as pillion)

I was impressed already but when i got on that flipping DCT i was over the moon :020:

So i bought one  :031:

Digital silver DCT with SE pack

The deal was done when they gave me a decent price for my trade-ins (yes, there were 2 of them)

My 08 hornet FA8 and a citroen C2VTR !!!

I'm Ian, a 57 years old chap from Leigh, Lancashire, UK.

Also run a TDM900

and a TRX850 which i bought for my new hobby of trackdays (only been twice up to now but enjoyed them immensely)

Will be frequenting the forum on a regular basis so see you all soon

Ian

The only problem with these fond memories is that it has made me realise the 3 year warranty is up in about 3 weeks  :005: :005: :005: :005:
