Heated Grip Heater Switch
on: May 11, 2015, 10:17:48 PM
 Hi Guys
First post on this forum so if this was covered in another post forgive me.

Have my 2014 Silver Crosstourer for 3 weeks now and loving it.
It is absolutely brill to ride with the new engine having come from a Varadero before.

Anyway to my problem.  When I got home this evening I noticed the cover which contains the indicator lamp and switch for the heated grips ( left side )had fallen off the bike. I am now left with the electrics exposed. Grips still work. Has anybody had this problem and secondly does anybody know where I can pick up this cover. Honda want me to buy the entire left grip and switch for a 150 Euro. If anybody has changed there's ou tfor different ones I would gladly buy them

Hope it ok to reply to this as l have a VFR 1200 , the top of the switch on my bike disintegrated leaving the wires and circuit board exposed . My bike was 3 mths out of Warranty and Honda UK were not interested in a replacement.
You have 2 choices if your Warranty has expired either buy Oxford or others make of grips.
Or buy a new Honda left hand grip with the integrated switch !.(pricey)
l opted to buy the Honda grip  because l wanted to keep my bike as standard as possible.

Hope that helps.

Cheers Robert

How can a 2014 bike NOT be covered under the warranty which is for 3 years?

Half of the UK dealers spout some sh#te about it only having 2 years but get onto Honda customer service and quote them from their OWN website about the fact that VFR1200F and X bikes do indeed have a full THREE years warranty!!!

(can someone post the telephone number and maybe the warranty details for Trigger please as I'm away from home until weekend)

Definitely a warranty item - tell the dealers to fork out and get you more grips :232:
