Inaugural Test Ride
on: May 08, 2015, 11:40:37 PM
Now I've got myself a CT DCT to play with, myself and a couple of European buddies are planning this years Euro-Tour and a great opportunity to give the old girl her first proper run out under my pilot-ship

We're heading for Lake Lipno [Google it]

It's in the Czech Rep [first time that far East for me] via Brussels to collect 1 x riding buddy - then Cologne to collect the other riding buddy before venturing East for a lap of the "lake"

After that we head south into Austria to do the Stelvio - along the mountain passes into Switz for lunch at the top of the Nufenen Pass [they do a great Spag Bog!!]

Then heading north to the Nurburgring before heading North West back to Brussels and ferry back to Dover - homewards towards Tenby in West Wales

Gotta be the best part of 2,500-3,000 miles door-to-door

Not a bad test ride!

All scheduled for end of June 2015

No doubt there will be some stories!

A massive trip Bert

Hope you don't come back with a BSA  :192:   :745:

Will be in the Alps mid June so clear the snow for you in the Fruka, Grimsel and Tremola Pass's. Thanks for the food idea at the top of the Nufenen Pass if we have time.

Suggestion for Bum Ache as I have tried lower seat, gel seat and finally found this cover good. MOTORCYCLE COMFORT SEAT PAD http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORCYCLE-COMFORT-SEAT-PAD-NOT-AIR-OR-GEL-FITS-ALL-BIKES-AND-SCOOTERS-/251919071037?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aa78bf73d

It works for me sofar on my 90 minute ride to and back for work. M25  :232:

Interested as on the warranty cover issues and need it to be clear for travelling aboard.

I hope for you that it is not to busy on the Stelvio! During the summer there can be a lot of traffic, going from trucks, caravans, busses, mobile homes, and not to forget all this pseudo Bradley Wiggins riders!

The boy [Neil] we hook up with in Cologne, also has a flat in Luxembourg and another near InterLaken in CH [apparantly it's done for tax purposes  :174:] and he knows a lot of the less-common roads so we've enjoyed some cracking roads in the past

Once I've got the Garmin map file, I'll gladly post up here for others to see

Having experienced and enjoyed many of your numerous, humerous postings Fat Bert I really look forward to reading the "ride report" and seeing the pics.
Have great trip mate.
