rattling noise on cold startup

Hi guys! whenever i cold start i get a rattling noise like valves or something. Is it normal? It goes away when hot

My also makes that noise. Have I complained to Honda, but still did not get any response.
I do not think normal.

The noise is most at idle

If we have hydraulic valve lifters, they will be noisy, a bit like to old Golf Mk2 GTI16 valve's were...you only knew the engine was ran in once you had the noisy clack clack on start-up!

The tension of the camchain Works mechanical.There is a spring which controls the tension.Also HONDA use the Uni cam the same with the CRF.The inlet valves is bucket type and the exhaust valves are with rocker arms.With this construction HONDA win space on the cylinder heads. And finally the result of this is to have a gramical and amazing power from the VFR engine.
Regarding the noise most probably need to check the exhaust valves clearances.
