Crosstourer Replacement screen
on: April 02, 2015, 02:59:14 PM
hi
just changed my wind screen on the crosstourer from the Honda to a PUIG Screen.
had a lot of wind-buffering at 80-90 and looked at the different suggestions of replacement screens from the Forum.
I am happy to confirm the screen along with a top edge second screen gives a buffering free ride.
if you are considering changing your screen as a suggestion consider looking at the PUIG.

How tall are you? I'm thinking on a screen but a bit torn because the buffeting helps keep the speed down so serves a purpose!

Being 1.88mtr wind buffering has been a real problem even with the honda tall screen on the high fixing setting. Not so much noise as I have a shoei xr1100.
My comment is to try the small clip on screen that fit onto the main screen. It is cheaper than replacing the whole screen.
I practically have no buffering even upto 100.
hopefully my comments help those who wonder if changing screen would make a difference, it really does!!  :152:

Hi Alpax fellow Oxfordian.  :158:
I am 6' 2" , use a Touratech High seat and a Puig screen with the extra top bit.
For me it is adequate but loads better than the original honda tall version...but then I am sticking my head up quite a way.

Best choice for me so far

BigBob,
Below is a copy of an email ,10/3/15, I was sent from Touratech UK regarding the cost of the seat.
It might be worth you doing an email to them to get some sort of competative pricing .

UB

we are at present looking at our UK prices, as the Pound has got stronger and stronger, everywhere outside of the Euro has its own price for their country, we do need to have a higher price to be able to have a Touratech presents in the UK but of course see can see lately that this has crept higher and higher.

On this seat I’m happy to do it at the price of £386.46 inc and this includes Postage.

Let me know if you would like to order it.

Thanks and sorry for any problems caused.
