Tyre Fitters???
on: March 21, 2015, 12:11:04 PM
Has anyone else experienced problems with different tyre shops regarding fitting new tyres?
Three different shops i've used in the past with other bikes have all been very reluctant to fit the tyres on my crosstourer.
Two fitters have said they won't fit to the tyre machine and would need to be done by hand using levers and said the possibility of scratching or damaging the wheel is to high to risk doing it. The other can fit the tyres but cannot balance them with weights on the spokes.
Anyone else had the same problems or is it the fussy fitters in the Grimsby Area?

I've taken this bike as well as several others to Ian Browns at Malton.
Prices have been good, ride in ride out, nice guys.
Tyres removed and wheels balanced on their machine.
Never any problems

I use a mobile tyre fitter called Mark Brunt, who is based near Sleaford but covers a good area depending on what jobs he can pull in together. He's fitted 4 tyres to 2 separate bikes of mine including the CT with no problems and no scratches, and also takes some beating on price. I reckon they must be a fussy lot in Grimsby aa you said.

I've used Bike Tyres Leeds several times, good service and decent prices. The shop is actually in Sholes on the outskirts of the city. No problem with the CT.
