My CT is due for annual service early MAY . . .It will be 2 years old but only done 7.5 k miles . . .any ideas on cost? Is it done as 16k service as its 2 years old, or do they go off mileage? Just would like idea of cost if poss. (Main Honda dealer will service it)

I've just had mine serviced in similar circumstances to you. Bike is 2yrs old and has done 10.7k miles, but they treat it as a 16k service, which is a biggy { head off and valve clearances done etc} which took them just under a day and a half. Thankfully I took out the service plan when I bought it or else I think some are talking close to the £500 mark for this service  :005:

Sorry that's me talking  :172: cks, and that's coming from someone who's mechanically minded  :087: I've had a bad week so far. Unless mine had dropped a valve  I'd expect them to leave the head alone.

Thank's Ian  :-(

GeofftheChef,

What did you end up paying in the end?
Was it classed as a 16K service with valve clearances, or was it just done as an annual service.

Mine is due service now (2 years 12k miles) and I have two Main dealer quotes.

£260 from Dobles and
£530 from Norton Way reduced to £99 when they realised it hadn't reached 16k.

So from these prices I don't think they treat it as a 16k service.

It was classed as 8k miles service as it had only done close to that . . . 2 years old exactly . . .TOTAL £305.51 including front Brake Pads replaced . . .brake pads are listed as £38.00 per side (76.00 total) on the receipt.
this was my main dealer HUNTS,Manchester.
