Checked and I can confirm that I have the SRA1110 aluminium. I have trouble believing it is a part built with CT and Trekker in mind as mine is a complete disaster.

Im really surprised that rack is giving you problems, being Givi id have thought it would be fine. I actually think its better looking than the one i have.

Well, tbh I have kinda become friends with my dealer over the years. He insisted that the aluminium one would fit better and look better. He will find a way to sort it out. The problem is not with the rack fitting the bike but with the box fitting the rack. The rack itself is rock solid.

If nothing works, I will steal the solution I found on some Triumph forum. Fitting a mousepad between the topbox and the rack. The guy swears it worked like a miracle. Mousepads are cheap, can be easily replaced, and its impossible to harm the bike with it. So why not...

I had the plastic plate and now mounted the aluminum one. It is a much better fit.

Is that the Givi one? assume youve not had the issues Eltar has.

I just got the Givi V46 Top Box for my VFR1200X and it rattles a lot! I've got the SRA1110 Mount and it does latch tight, but the rattle remains. It must be in the latch? Drives you crazy riding around town.

Pretty much standard on Givi top boxes. All three that I’ve had have done the same.
