just picked up my CT
on: October 13, 2013, 01:33:22 PM
just picked up my CT yesterday ... so bit early to pass judgement. 200 miles done as of today. Pain in the a$$ this engine break-in nonsense!  :172:

Big changes from my Tiger 1050 experiences.

done some tweaking with suspension settings, so probably running slightly stiffer than most. Still original suspension btw.

mods include:
givi tall screen
givi bars
givi aux lights
honda heated grips
honda centre stand
honda tank protector sticker and fuel cap
sat nav bracket
pazzo levers
givi top box rack
leo vincie exhaust
additional power sockets
rear hugger
front fenda extender
r&g rad guard
michelin pilot road 3 tyres

pics attached

hope to get a few more miles done this week.

so far its getting used to weight difference, being a bit more physical on cornering, remember weight differences getting on and off

few pics attached

Sweet ass bike there mate. Be interested to hear how you get on with those tyres, mine will be needing a change probably in the next few months and so decisions decisions ahead for me ;-)

Ok thanks, I'm not made of money BUT where tyres are concerned I'm more than happy to spend whatever is needed in order for some decent performance and good feedback which gives me great confidence when on or near the limits  ;-)

as i have only ever owned road bikes and used touring type tyres a good biking friend felt it was better for me to swap out the battlewings. i will never go off-road so the decision was fiarly eay. my dealer asked me for an allowance and i chose the PR3's ... only starting to bed down today but they seem very capable with the CT

a set in my local tyre shop will set u back around 225 fitted and balanced

good tyre ran them on my tiger 1050 and i am normally a b'stone man

thanks for the kind remarks re the bike too, appreciate it

Looks great, and IMHO it's in the best colour. My CT has turned over 4000 miles now and the engine just gets better as it beds in. A superb and hugely underrated bike. You'll love it!
