Hullo from south West Australia
on: September 29, 2013, 02:00:46 AM
I've been looking to update my daily rides(yamaha FZ1 and Kawasaki GTr1000) and to get back to one rego.

Honda have lowered the price of the VFR1200x to $14,790 here in Oz so they really are a bargain. The VFR1200f has been brought back to $15,390 as well, that originally sold for $24,000 back in 2010 when it was first introduced.
The bike won't be used off road and I'm looking for a modern shaft drive tourer.

I'm in a small town(Albany) so none in our local dealer so I'll have to go to Perth to see if the seat height will be an issue for me.
I'm just under 5foot 9inches tall.

I've joined the forum to see what panniers and accessories etc people are fitting.

Welcome to the forum

There is plenty of reading on here regarding after market fittings

Givi panniers are popular, other mods are screens, huggers, fenda extends, crash bars and upgraded lights

Everyone has their own preferences for adding to their own bike, enjoy the forum and hopefully you will be okay with the size of the bike, let us know how you get on  :031:

Shop around a bit, make sure the price includes on road cost; I bought mine from the dealer in Joondalup (Perth), they matched the price of the shops below the river and included the above mentioned on road cost.
Great ride, lots of pick up, only disapointing thing is the selection of colour.

Thanks for the Welcome!
I'm going up to Perth in November so I'll see if I can get a demo ride?
