Hi All, from Portugal
on: September 20, 2013, 01:26:55 PM
Hi All, from Colares, Portugal.
I have the Crosstourer DCT, since one year ago, 15,000 km and very happy with this bike! I changed it with the VFR 1200, also dct, after 2 years and 20,000Km and also a fantastic bike. But the Xtourer, is the most amazing motorcycle I've owned (CBR600- one of first Honda made - CBR1000F, St1100, STX1300, VFR1200DCT).
No complains and no problems at all. The engine is superb,, fast (not the 'bullet type' as the VFR) and with high torque. Gearbox and DCT incredible good - it will be dificult to return to a non dct gearbox!
Riding position is ok and the brekage outstanding. The seat and the general confort and protection are fine for me (1.70m).

:400: from Belgium. One question, you are 1.70m, is that enough to feel safe on the CT?

Thanks for the Welcomes!
Barbancourt I really feel safe riding this bike. Before I bought it, I tried both DCT and  standard gearbox and the dct has also the advantage of let my left foot free to fit on the ground. Comming from heavy bikes, the weight is not a problem too and the fantastic balance of CT helps a lot with low speed. In the begining I was thinking in buying a lower seat, but very quickly I found that the height was not a problem
