Honda fog light alignment?
on: September 04, 2013, 08:58:08 AM
I have the Honda fog lights fitted (CT Highlander), but have noticed that the nearside (left hand light when sitting on the bike) is noticably pointing towards the kerb.

There is no damage and the bracket which secures the lamp to the crash bar appears to be made that way.  I pointed this out to the supplying dealer, but he was unsure if the alignment was correct or not.

Perhaps this is deliberate to provide added illumination towards the edge of the road (in UK);  just looks slightly 'odd' :002:

Has anybody else with OEM fogs noticed the same?

Cheers  :031:

PS - I know a photo would help, but that's another task I need to master!

Hi mate, I have exactly the same set up on my CT and the aux lights seem to be equally aligned with the headlight beam albeit a smidge lower due to their location on the bike and so there might be a little adjustment needed on yours if it bothers you that is :-/

Thanks Cozmo,

Having now ridden at night, the aux lights do indeed appear oddly aligned.

Took delivery at the beginning of this week and the CT will have its first service early next week.

Have asked dealer to recheck alignment during the service.

Otherwise, a genuinely fantastic bike and the first time I have needed the the first service so quickly!!!

Cheers
Griff
