Will any Bluetooth enabled car satnav work and pair with my SENA SM10 headset ? Or do I need an actual bike satnav ?

Ive got a car Garmin (765) and I bought a cheap (£35) BT Headset off ebay for our trip to Austria and it worked brilliantly.

Although the screen was difficult to see (it was so sunny!!) the instructions came through loud and clear.

Thanks Russ... I am trying to find out if I can use a CAR satnav that has Bluetooth with my SENA SMH10 headset... anyone know this as Halfords have stated that the Bluetooth on a car satnav is only for using with phone signal... so you need an actual motorcycle satnav with Bluetooth to pair it with motorcycle headset ... is this right ?

Nah theyre talking poop!
The 765 I have is a car satnav so I would actually check with the manufacturers of the particular satnav youre looking at to make sure. I just searched google and emailed garmin before I got me cheapo headset and they said it was fine, which it was.
I reckon theyre just trying to sell you a bike satnav coz theyre a lot more expensive.
Either that or thay aint got a clue what theyre selling.

Not sure that the car satnav transmits out..... I thought they only received info from a paired device.
I can't see why a car satnav would have the facility to transmit spoken instructions as they have a speaker. I have checked my TomTom car satnav and can't get a thing out of it.

I have also have a Tom tom rider 2 and a Garmin zumo 660.

The mount for the Tom tom is so poor and failed 4 times so it is now sat in a drawer in disgrace! The zumo is superb in terms of quality, but the mapping is pants compared to the Tom tom...

I would choose the zumo, and ignore it's more bizzare mapping choices!
