Hi from Williamson
« on: July 27, 2013, 11:26:38 PM »
Hi from Williamson in South Morang, Melbourne Australia. :158:

Looking at adding a VFR1200X to my garage, which currently has a mighty CB1300 and a Piaggio 250 scooter.  The main reason for this so as I can comfortably tow a small motorcycle camper trailer.  The Mighty CB has plenty of grunt, but is a little light (around 240kg) and in some situations I can feel the trailer (around 165kg) trying push the bike around.

The VFR1200X at around 275kg, or 285kg for the DCT model, is likely to be more stable.  I suspect there is even a few more kg when you add the top and side boxes on.

Have any of the Forum members had any experience with towing trailers with a VFR1200X?

 :465:

Cheers Williamson (AKA Michael)

:400: I've not heard of a CT with a tow bar yet. The weight is OK, but wouldn't a PAN be better? Saw one the other day in Belgium towing a trailer - looked OK.

Hi, Welcome. I once owned a Pan with towbar (and trailer) but haven`t seen the CT with it yet. Good luck!
