Newbie from Essex
on: June 29, 2013, 09:56:28 AM
Hi All.
Brian here from Essex.
I found the site on Google and thought I'd join up as I've been wanting the Crosstourer since it was announced in 2011.
I've had plenty of Honda's over the years and like their reliability and build quality.
Just Bought a 2012 DCT in Red, It was a Honda UK Fleet Bike used for Promotions etc and only had 300 Miles on the Clock.
Had it Delivered Wednesday but not had time to Ride it yet, Popping out for my 1st ride in about an Hour.
It is Replacing my 2006 Honda XL1000 Varadero.
Already Purchased a Colour Matched Pyramid Hugger, Givi Tall Screen and Leo Vince Exhaust so gotta fit them soon.
Look Forward to some Banter and pick up a Few Tips about the Bike.

If there's anything I should know, Good or Bad then Please let me know.

All The Best.
Brian

Welcome to the forum. My CT replaced a Transalp. The Alp & Varadero were good bikes in their day, but they've been overtaken (certainly as all-purpose road bikes) by the Crosstourer and Crossrunner. You will love that motor, and the way it handles.

 :400: sir.

We have been discussing all sorts of pros and cons of our beloved CTs. I will just not tell what those are, so that they don't turn into self-fulfilling propechies for you, but you can see those in the forums anyway. It is not perfect, pretty close for some of us, not quite so for others. Hope you will enjoy your ride.

Cheers :031:

:400:. I have a black DCT with a black hugger and a Powerbronze screen. Also had it lowered by 30mm because I have short legs. :158:
