nw200 visit
on: May 23, 2013, 08:08:44 PM
Just returned from this year's north west pilgrimage. Race day was a washout but ended up in the pub, so not totally wasted.  On the way over it was a 5 am start to catch the early ferry from Cairnryan to Belfast, followed by a quick blast up the coast road to Portrush and watch the night's racing. Friday was a fantastic day in every sense, even the weather was perfect..280 "hard" miles ... Sunday was another run back down the coast via the notorious Torr Head road.  Last year on the blackbird was a challenge, this year on the xtourer was a blast..YeeHaa! route maps etc below.

Looks like you had a nice trip. Only been to Ireland in the car - maybe one day.

Yep! I was there as well....only saw two CT's the whole weekend. I went on my Tuono with my friend Rico (AKA Ocir!!!! BTW he ended up buying the new KTM) Over on the Thursday on the Troon ferry, back Sunday on the Cairnryan Ferry.
What do you mean it's raining....get ootside and ride the thing.
