Hello. I'm in!
on: May 18, 2013, 06:36:31 PM
Hello Folks,

Been reading on here for a while. Mucho pondering.

Finally got a good test ride on a CT DCT on a beautiful day. What a bike. A Cadillac (eh...I imagine!) of a bike but no disgrace in the twisties.

Pulled the trigger on a black DCT today. Pick it up hopefully next Monday. Centre stand (which I'm sure will have me making some involuntary utterances when trying to get the knack) a hugger, a givi plate and a Leo pipe.

My stomach is in knots. I away for some voddies, maybe even some food.

Cheers y'all

Thanks chaps.

Yes, that v4 sounds much better in the flesh but I still can't wait to hear it when I let it breathe properly with a can. It's plenty quick off the bottom end too which I was worried about dropping 200cc from a bike that's all about huge instant torque.

The DCT is extremely impressive. Hardly used Manual Mode at all. Auto S when cracking on and it had already dropped a gear or two and if I wanted even more engine braking and to really fire out a corner, just thumb another one down.
D mode on big throttle openings from top gear on overtakes was a surprise too. Drops two three gears very quickly.....your past in a growly whooosh.
What I did not know was what happens when you stop at traffic lights (or emergency stop. ) Keep the brake on to stop it rolling forward like an automatic car? Nope, no need, the bike goes into neutral!

Hey Scotsy, southside of 'Weegieland. :)
