Yes, that v4 sounds much better in the flesh but I still can't wait to hear it when I let it breathe properly with a can. It's plenty quick off the bottom end too which I was worried about dropping 200cc from a bike that's all about huge instant torque.
The DCT is extremely impressive. Hardly used Manual Mode at all. Auto S when cracking on and it had already dropped a gear or two and if I wanted even more engine braking and to really fire out a corner, just thumb another one down.
D mode on big throttle openings from top gear on overtakes was a surprise too. Drops two three gears very quickly.....your past in a growly whooosh.
What I did not know was what happens when you stop at traffic lights (or emergency stop. ) Keep the brake on to stop it rolling forward like an automatic car? Nope, no need, the bike goes into neutral!
