How to adjust park break on dct?
on: May 11, 2013, 08:57:43 PM
Noticed that my parking break was kind of weak today. Bike was "sliding" backwards when parking uphill.  Had a look in the book, and it said contact my dealer to get it adjusted. Kind of hate those messages ;-). Well, it is only made by humans, and I am a human, ergo I can fix it :-)

So I had a look "down there" and found an arm with a nut at the small calliper that looked like it could be adjusted. Så I loosend the nut and moved the arm a few mms forward. And voila, break was better.  But then the million dollor question: was that the right way to do it?

It can also  be adjusted at the handlebar end..... Roll back the rubber cover  and an adjustment nut appears ...hey presto!    .. You now have adjustment at both ends, but I don't know which one is the preferred one !!! :087:

Just had to test today :-). Adjusted the arm at the lower calipper back. Rolled down the rubber, adjusted the wire. Worked well :-)
