Captain Scarlet wrote a book...
on: April 28, 2013, 01:56:48 AM
Well, I’ve only gone and done it - I’ve written the first of what I hope will become many novels!

And of course motorcycles do feature heavily! The leading character Jake, owns a Ducati dealership, so is constantly riding his Diavel and Panigale. At one point he has a race against a hot chic on a tricked up GiXeR – but who wins? There are plenty of detailed descriptive rides throughout the book, especially as he takes a cross-country trip on his main motorcycle, in an attempt to try to piece together the mystery of the recent passing of his beloved brother. The motorcycles angle aside (which just makes it more enjoyable for us bikers!) I do hope that the book stands up in its own right, as simply a decent engaging read… and please don’t spoil the ending for others!

Synopsis: ‘04:15‘ is the story of Jake and Tommy, two close brothers. One day, whilst living and working in New Hampshire, Tommy is killed in an accident. Jake has trouble accepting that Tommy’s passing, was purely an accident. Instead, he believes something more sinister may have happened to him? Jake takes a cross-country road-trip, from his hometown in Georgia, to collect Tommy’s ashes and to revisit some childhood memories. Along the way, Jake meets and falls for a beautiful girl, called Angelica. He continues to New Hampshire, where a family friend and local sheriff, Zak, looks after him. Jake takes on a local job where he learns that not everybody was as fond of Tommy as he was. Over the coming days and weeks, Jake’s investigation becomes more intriguing and alarming, full of suspenseful encounters with the locals and ultimately climaxing with a surprising outcome. Just when Jake thinks he knows all the answers, his perception of reality is thrown up in the air. And in a final shocking twist, after he believes that he has finally gained closure, his world is completely changed forever… but how?

Thanks Freaky et all...

Penguin assured me that the book should be available to download globally. But I've heard some of the chaps in England are having trouble finding it in the iBooks app, whereas it is available to download in the States on iBooks without problem. I'm going to chase them about this.

As a workaround, it might be possible to download it via iTunes, which should default to your native country: https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/04-15/id631176146?mt=11
If anyone tries this - let me know if it works - thank you! :-D

Ha! Nice one Doc!  :008:

How are you getting on with it? Value for money?!?!
 :031:

I've hopefully solved the Apple problem with Penguin now. By the weekend (if not before) it will apparently be available to download from the iBook Store, the App Store and Mac Store (Apple like their stores!  :001:), in no less than 51 countries - hopefully one you live in! Buy a copy from each country if you like!  :047:

It's also available on the Sony eReader now (download it again Doc!  :745:), as well as Google Nexus, Kobo and Scribd.

Just trying to get the Amazon Kindle (lots of people waiting for that one!) and Barnes and Noble Nook supply resolved. They reckon probably within the next week or so... Sorry for the delay... I hope it's worth the wait!
