Daan ta Margit
on: April 20, 2013, 04:05:41 PM
Well, I was not going to bother riding the new bike until I go to Germany in a couple of weeks, but it was such a lovely crisp morning that I couldn't help myself. Close call between the moto and the pushbike but the Crosstourer won.

Went for a little bimble around Kent but stopped off to take these in Margate early on.

Not much of a ride report, just some pics but I hope someone enjoys them.

Very nice photos  :028:

Why do a lot of people blank out the number plate? I can see your plate when you are riding, why shouldn't I see it in a photo?
Just curious  :084:

Nice one WWWmin.:) I love day like that. I'm hoping to do a nice long run in a couple of weeks time.....wondering if I can do over 500miles, maybe 550 depending. If I do I'll trying to take a few pix for the forum. give a taste of Scotland so to speak:)

I like the look of that bag on the back.......perfect for a wee day or two away....what is it?

Re number plate.....I don't get it either. I think it's something about cloning the bike/number so you might end up getting done for speeding etc. I think it would be easier to go into the local bike shop pick a number from their stock.

Saying that I might be wrong....so why do people do that?
What do you mean it's raining....get ootside and ride the thing.

Yeah I guess I just rub them out in case someone wanted to clone the plate. Not sure it is really worthwhile but it only takes a minute.

The bag is a Gearsack, it's an Australian make. I don't think they are made any more, I bought it years ago when I bought a brand new Africa Twin - that's how long ago.

It is still, literally, like new. A supern bit of kit, absolutely love it.
