Crosstourer faults and warranty claims
« on: April 07, 2013, 12:29:14 PM »
This is to help identify recurring problems so hopefully of use for prospective and current owners alike. Please use only for problems that have required return to dealer not for home adjustments like suspension etc.

Had petrol tank replaced under Warranty due to rust marks in paintwork. No quibbles from Honda - well impressed.

Heated grip control unit replaced under warranty - although it was a very long wait to get the required part and only after I wrote to Honda UK did things start moving along.

In the German forum there are several reports about rust at the tank (welding spots).

Steering head bearings were replaced under warranty and fork seals were replaced (as were my brake pads because of oil contamination) after a ride offroad. Now I have neoprene protective sleeves protecting my inner fork tubes....

Discovered yesterday my heated grips have stopped working , the little red light flashes to tell you they are on and at what level but no heat whatsoever. Going to call dealer today to discuss :-(
