Despite registering on here in January I've only just got round to a road test on a CT, the dealer in Plymouth let me have the bike for an hour (not long enough really)the weather was not the best a mixture of occasional sunny spells and hale storms, leaving the dealership on a damp road i thought it'd be best to take it steady till I could hit some dual carriageway and could open her up a bit the first thing I noticed about the ct was how light the bike felt on the move and how hard it was to stay below the 40 limit without keeping an eye on the speedo, (so smooth) opening it up a bit coming from a 30 to 40 limit in 4th gear I noticed a vibration thru the seat (not intrusive) reminded me of riding a single cylinder bike giving it a bit of character I guess. next was hitting the dual carriageway and jezz does it pick up I was hitting 3 figures without realising a nice surge of torque pulling it all the way in a nice civilised manner( not like the arm wrenching rapidity of my zzr which lets you know your going fast as the world disappears into reverse) I slowed down to about 80 as I wanted to see what the revs would be at for sorta normal touring speed, And then the heavens opened so theres me on the bike wearing only leather jacket and jeans getting soaking wet, my mind telling me to turn round and return the bike and try it another day, but 2 miles away was the edge of dartmoor and I wanted to try it on some country roads so I pressed on ,I must admit I got to leemoor and turned left across to shaugh bridge not knowing where the next turn back to plymouth would be but I was in my element i was loving this test ride i so wanted to try some of the byways I saw but with a £1000 excess registering in my mind I didn't, I eventually rejoined the main road back to Plymouth and returned to the dealer I had been out for approx 1 hour and was soaked to the skin, now all i gotta figure out is what colour to order.
