Don't get me started on this one. Only the top teams in Moto GP, WSB and BSB pay their riders. The other 75% of teams rely on riders paying for their ride. Thats why there are so many average journeymen appearing in BSB over recent years (i wont name names). Look at Tommy Hill for example. British champion only a year ago yet he is sitting out this season as he is barely making a living racing bikes. There is NO prize money in BSB. Everyone is paying to race but where is all the money going? Palmer and Higgs should be ashamed. Rant over.

However, i agree that Racingtothestars is a worthy charity as is the Chris Jones Riders Fund which i have supported for  several years.

Totally agree with you there Telbert, I too have supported the CJ Riders fund in the past, bought a multiple signed helmet at a Brands auction one year (loads of BSB riders, incl. Haslem jnr & snr, Kiyo, etc.) doesn't fit me but my son wears it when he comes out with me. Also got a pair of signed Ben Bostrum gloves, again too small for me to wear and Haga boots, guess what - yep too small for me. Oh well all for a good cause.
Palmer has done wonders at Brands but does he really need the money, :110: he should be paying the riders himself as he owns so many tracks  :232:

The rant wasn't aimed at you SPW, it was purely directed at the money grabbing people in charge of British racing.
What sort of credible championship has three rounds at one circuit?  (Argh! I've started again sorry)
Happy birthday yesterday by the way
