New Crosstourer Ordered!
on: March 14, 2013, 04:23:20 PM
Hello from north London  :031:
Just got back from Dobles Honda after ordering a new CT. Had my previous bike (a Sportster, bought new) for only 2 months but couldn't get on with the damn thing so am returning to the Jap bike fold.
Haven't ridden the CT but sat on one and looked over it in the showroom and it looks superb!
Picking it up next week, can't wait  :001:

Very brave to buy ANY bike before trying it out IMHO

I knew i 'wanted a CT' this time last year but wouldn't buy the manual one all the dealers had on demo UNTIL i had tried out the DCT version, i'm so glad i waited because the DCT was so much more 'my cup of tea' so i bought one after riding them back to back

You will love the crosstourer, whichever you buy  :305:

Yes, I appreciate what you say; it is brave buying a bike (let alone an 11 grand bike!) without having first ridden it.
All i'll say to that is: a few years back I bought a CBF500 which I kept for a year and a half, followed by a 700 Deauville, which I kept for 2 years. Both bikes were superb and did the job perfectly. I bought both bikes without a test ride and yet I loved and enjoyed them both.
The Harley Sportster: I took for a test ride, stayed out for over an hour and thought it was the bike for me, yet after a couple of months i'm going back to a Honda.
Says it all.....
Can't wait for my V4 workhorse!

Its a thoroughbred  :020:........not a 'workhorse'  :164:

Sounds like you are going to get a pleasant surprise when you break into a 'canter' so make sure you 'hold the reins tightly'  :305:

I had a ZZR600 for a short time, after 600 miles I part exchanged it for a new Blackbird. Like you, I sat on it in the shop and bought it, best bike deal I have ever made. It’s still not too late to test both models, I’m sure your dealer would change your order if you preferred the DCT.

The CT is a very under rated bike, sure you will enjoy it when it arrives.

:400: ukiboy. You've probably timed your purchase just right and hopefully the rubbish weather would of gone. Enjoy.
BTW what colour?
I love talking about nothing. It is the only thing I know anything about.
