    Honda top box question

    Hey

I plan on buying givi luggage in the summer for the new CT, but for now to save cash, I'm going to use my old silver Honda 35l topbox from my old 2008 HOnda s wing 125.

    http://www.cmsnl.com/products/top-box-35-black_08l55ktf8z0b

Can anyone tell me if its possible to buy a plate/mount that I can buy which will screw into the CT so I can use the Box.

    cheers

    Hi Ozbar,
The plate to suit the Givi top boxes is Givi part number SR1110 and comes with the relevant adaptor plates/nuts and bolts. Its about €95 Euro . I think most of Honda's top boxes are rebranded Givi items and are pretty universal. Although Givi has a cheaper range of boxes with a different mounting system to suit scooters.
May be someone else can confirm

Sorry i think i worded my question wrong.

I need to know if HONDA make a plate or rack that I can use to mount a Honda case on the back of a crosstourer. The bottom of this honda box is totally different than any of the givi cases I've had. Its more of a claw clamp. The back of the crosstourer is just a flat plate ready for a specific rack.

    Ok so good news..sort of.

The OEM silver pannier top box that comes with the SE package sits on a plate, which is bolted to the bike. This plate will take the older honda top box I mentioned earlier. The locking mech on the new CT silver box is identical to my older Honda box..it just looks abit neater. So those of you who have the CT luggage, can in theory put a different top box (Must be honda though) on the back. The problem is now..can I buy that plate seperately, and if so, how much will it cost...knowing honda..a fortune...i'll let you know
