Got the OE top box and panniers. Fitted the mounting bracket for the top box and the instructions say that there should be sideways movement (few mm). However, I find that there you can also lift the bracket a few mm -- is this right/normal?

    Hello karlmalcolm
I just run down to my garage to check. There is a few mm movement side to side, but very little up and down, I would say only 1mm or less when lifting from the rear of the plate.

Just read on the Honda ST1000 forum that it has been discussed there too. So I belive it must be right? Apparently to do with aerodynamics and all??
