Hello from sunny Durban South Africa
on: February 27, 2013, 07:02:54 AM
Hi guys

I am from Durban SA. We have awesome riding weather all year round. I took delivery of my new white CT Adv on fri 22-02-13. I am so stoked. What a awesome bike. I owned 2 GS's before, so am not new to the Adventure touring bike scene. My only dislikes, not negatives, of the bike are the ugly exhaust and small back tyre so have ordered a Akro slip on to sort the exhaust out. The small back tyre I will have to live with. I am battling to get after market accessories for the bike though. I want to fit headlight protector, rear hugger and wide footrests but can't get in SA at the moment. The first thing you will notice about the CT is how smooth and powerfull the bike is. Hope I get better service out the bike than the overrated, costly, clunking, whale GS's.

Cheers

Keep it on the Black Stuff or Dirt - BUT - Rubber Side Down.  Else it hurts!

Don't worry about the 150 section rear tyre, it sticks like sh*t to a blanket :305:

:400: I hope you'll ride on your XT to some beautiful SA places that will fascinate our hearts when you'll show them to us on XT forum or in your blog.
Take care, Alexey

 :400: to the forum.

There are a few companies selling huggers for the CT. The Honda vfr1200 hugger fits the Crosstourer too but i chose the Pyramid hugger as it offers the rear shock a little more protection. R & G, Powerbronze and Puig also make a hugger for the CT. I've never seen a headlight protector for the CT though.
