Roll on the spring!!
on: February 10, 2013, 02:54:13 PM
Hello from a wet and cold Rhondda Valley,

Got the bike out yesterday went for a short ride, 30 miles on the clock now, can't wait for the warmer weather, i can see what this bike can do.

I'm amazed how good the DCT gearbox is! Even at slow speed it's easy to control.https://www.crosstourer.com/Smileys/light/152.gif

All the best, Geraint.

Good to hear you could get out on the bike, even if it was just for a few miles.

DCT is really awesome - just wait until you get a chance to use sport mode or drive mode with the + / - switches to move up and down while still being in Auto mode - amazing!

I use drive for standard touring, sport for fun and through towns (to keep the revs up)  :082:

I couldn't possible go back to a manual bike - they change gear too slowly!  :745:

I had a right shock when I switched to S, really didn't expect that after cruising in D for some miles.  :018:

Only got 34 miles on my DCT, which I thought was in a different league to other bikes after riding it home. Nice dry day  here yesterday ,but spent a while furtling with my top box brackets for the CT. Then a couple of mates came to view the new arrival. In the end I took the healthy option and managed to get out for 3/4 of an hr on my push bike, as the roads were still white over and blowing salt  :003:
Roll on spring  :020:

Having had my DCT trapped in my local dealers  for its annual service and a new set of  TR91s  (trail max)  by this spell of horrid weather  imagine the joy of picking it up today ,--brilliant sunshine ,no wind, dry roads, a balmy 9degrees C, and stupendous views across the Bay to the Lakeland Hills beyond....... It was the  Long Way home for me !!!! :305: :305:
