I looked into that and I also thought about manufacturing one but It`ll take a good idea to get it done! Unlike a GS the Xtourer is built by Honda with the idea of "this is it, it`s finished, it`s done, you can`t improve this."! It will be very difficult to just bolt something on as a headlight cover. The only thing I can think of is a  see-through sticker of some kind...

I used to have a BLUE one for daytime use on my Mille R, it was bought from ebay and it was only held on by 3 x small strips of white velcro.

This enabled simple and quick removal when the light was due to fade to stay legal

I bought BLUE to set off the blue bits on the bike and an added bonus meant that traffic i was gaining on 'parted' like the red sea due to the BLUE LIGHT catching them up  :745:

Funnily enough i was just thinking about ordering some bikevis bullets in BLUE with the modulating unit http://www.bikevis.com/motorcycle-led-running-lights.html  i don't see how they could possibly classed as be illegal as the number of HGV's sporting coloured lights all across the front of their cabs doesn't alter the fact that the vehicle is STILL showing WHITE LIGHTS to the front as required by law

Your thoughts?

Ian

Hi Allroadtoad
I was thinking more the plastic moulded protector that Scotsy had on his Aprilia. I have a yellow one on my Pan but cannot find a supplier for the CT.

Scotsy, like you I have often wondered how truckers get way with blue lights.

A few years ago I bought such a plastic thing for my Blackbird. For  me it was so ugly that I never used it. It was a waste of money! But this is my opinion. Others may think different.

How do you attach the plastic moulded protector to the headlight?
