Not a tyre I would use personally and I know they are the old tyre but I know plenty who like them, seems a decent price if anyone is interested

Pretty good price and a good mileage tyre, had some good big tours on them, they use Raylon in the construction which the newer generation EXP tyre does'nt. At big mileage (7500miles) the rear flattens badly and the front cracks around the blocks and the blocks wear unevenly but otherwise they have a soft sidewall which makes for a smooth ride. Ok in the wet but when I moved on to the EXP tyre, it was a giant leap up in  wet grip.
It would be a great tyre for anyone on here who does'nt push the limits of the CT in the wet and wants good mileage  :002:

I've just fitted TOURANCE EXP at the rear (that's the one I used on my old Varadero).
With the Pirelli I made 8.725km. At last, I spent 3 days (770km) around Priorat (beautiful country in Catalonia, where Rally Catalunya-Costa Daurada is made), and at the last of 2nd day, the tyre had nearly disapeared. The 3rd day and under the rain I came back home with plain tyre and being very carefully ...  :305:

Hi VaraGirona, are you saying you wore down 8-9mm of tyre in 770 klms? ? ?

Hi thetrecker
Not 8-9mm, but 5mm in the center ...
Last week (Monday) I picked up my bike at Honda dealer (radiator reparation), and on Tuesday I went to Priorat (very abrasive tarmac) coming back on Thursday at lunch time.
In the afternoon I went to dealer again to change tyre, and mechanic was surprised about the wear of it.  :027:
