Crazy Givi Spares!
« on: October 02, 2012, 02:59:47 PM »
While we were away to the West Coast a couple of weeks ago, one of the small brackets on the Givi Pannier Rack (for my Monokey Panniers) must have come loose and fell off along the way which I didn't notice until we got home.

After emails to all the Givi suppliers I eventually got in touch with Givi themselves to order a GL2111 Bracket.

I have just had a reply from them, and I quote;

We don’t sell that part as a spare part you would have to buy a new pannier rack I’m afraid.

So if you lose a small part you have to buy a complete new Rack !!!

Joke, absolute joke.

My experience with Givi over the years has always been very good & odd bits like that have often been available free of charge.

Same as me up to now, seems a missing bracket now costs £180 to replace !!

I've always used Givi stuff, for years, not happy with this tho. :230:

A letter sent to them rather than an email is more likely to get a favourable response :002:

I meant to say, that is the Right Hand one, it was the left hand one that dropped off, although they must be handed, they have the same part number ?
GL2111.
