Ok, can't really answer your question but, as I haven't been out in the dark with mine yet I don't know what the CT's lights are like, I don't even know if they're required?
I say that because, both my Africa Twin and Varadero has such good lights from standard I wouldn't dream of replacing them and hope the CT is the same. I could of course be wrong but doubt it.
I know the BMW lights have a habit of being dog toffee and owners usually replace with HID's but it's kinda unheard of for Hondas.
Hopefully I'll be able to answer better this week as it's getting darker earlier here now and I'll be out in the dark soon!
Interesting question, look forward to the answer! Thanks.

The head light on CT is pretty good actually, should be enough for most needs whatever ...

However, i fitted some additional light kit from http://www.ledpower24.com/Nach-Marke-Hersteller/Vision-X-Global-Lighting-Systems/LED-SOLSTICE-1100-STANDARD-2-1x-10W.html

You could choose between narrow, medium or wide beam. They really are great additional lights, perfect for those longish night drives or up some remote forest roads at night ..... Not sure if they are "legal" in all countries? I fitted them with a "bridge" directly connected to high (medium) and low (wide beam) beam - but put in a switch for each of them as well.

Has anyone thought to change the CTs standard H7 bulbs and use some of these modern bulbs, like Philips Extreme or Osram Nightbreaker etc that give 90/100% more light??
It seems a way cheaper alternative 2 # extreme bulbs for about 29 quid delivered :086:

They are cheaper than others i've seen but excellent quality. I mounted them on a "Hawk light mount set" from SW-motech.
