Slight hesitation
« on: September 23, 2012, 01:30:34 PM »
Two or three times now (2600 miles), I have experienced a very slight delay whilst accelerating. I would say this is around 4000-5000 rpm, for just a second. It's just as if the front brake has been slightly applied. It's not something that is bothering me too much but I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this?

It could be a plug, coil or possibly dirty fuel, most likely electrical I think. Any thoughts?

Turn off Traction Control and try again, the TC kicks in when it thinks the front is lifting

Jacob, There is indeed throttle cables as a conventional bike, the cables go to a electronic box for the fly by wire control and also have mechanical help to make them feel like conventional cables and to add resistance when you twist otherwise acceleration would be notchy and jumpy. My brothers CT has already had the throttle adjusted for free play at the first service.
Think the guys are on the right track with TC cutting in...

Thanks for your replies guys. Sorry I have not responded earlier but I have been away and not had Internet access. Traction control? Interesting. I would have thought I would have got a yellow light flash up momentarily, would that be the case? If not, this would seem to be a possible answer. On each occasion, I wasn't going mad and on two of them with my wife on the back.....
