"(The equipment levels are unexceptional though. You do get instant and average fuel consumption but no ambient temperature, and not the extensive options list of BMW. "

I think if you read most of Ash's ride reports, i feel most intelligent people would come to the same conclusion about him! Strange that other people think he is the God of Motorcycle Reviews? :008:
Most of these reporters are only try to justify why they are in employment very similar to Politicians  :430: :430:

Here is another Quote from God!!

 – the Crosstourer is most definitely not a GS rival, oh no

As far as unreliability goes there are no bike that rivals the GS!!![maybe a Lifan]
The engine on the CT is better
The Gearbox on the CT is better
The CT has the same wheel/ tyre sizes
Ground clearance yes the GS has more
I looking for the reasons why he makes such a statement!
Weight??? has anyone actually weighted a CT fully fuelled??
I remember reading a report a couple of years ago where they weighted a standard GS with ABS fully fueled and the bike was over 250 kg??
Going to fill mine up this am and give her a weight, Ash has got me interested now feels like Myth Busters

I think the fact that demos are freely available to let you decide for yourself helps to negate the effect of journos but in days gone by you really had to rely on the press moreso IMHO.

Glad we've found Ash out   :112:

Talking about Ash .. makes me think of his "as agile as an oiltanker" comment on CT :155: .. that makes me wonder if he has ever been on a proper trip travelling the world? Maybe that comes from being on too many guided tours ... where they put your luggage in the support vehicle  :008:
Around the world and back ... driven Honda motorbikes all over Europe, Australia, NewZealand, Japan, Russia .....
