Fairing Deflector Kit...any thoughts?
« on: August 07, 2012, 09:00:36 PM »
Fellow CT Enthusiasts,

I'm considering getting the Fairing Deflector Kit as they apparently do help keep the wind and rain off.

I've seen a photo online but it doesn't look much.

Any thoughts folks?

Cheers,

Hitty

Difficult one this, as i have had them on the bike  since delivery.. so its difficult to know  what real effect they have . All i can say is that  my legs receive very little wind and the keep remarkedly dry in the rain..Other than that they do look good..  You may remember many years ago  Ford fitted similar little 'ears ' like these to the second generation Sierras  to good effect... With Honda's resources I think they must see them as being useful.....they certainly ask enough for them!!

I added them after I had the bike for a while and I found that the amount of wind on my knees reduced and it also reduces rain I am very happy with mine and I agree they look good  :018:

Just curious how much these are.

Noticed over the last couple of days the tops of my legs have been pretty cool and it's not even winter yet, going by the comments these would take away most of the wind chill I presume.

Thanks

Yep I am happy with them - they keep bulk of the wind off which for me is what I wanted I paid AUD$100 fitted  :018:

Thanks Jacob, that doesn't sound too bad a price for a Honda accessory.

I've riddden the demo without and a mate's with the deflectors.  They worked for me, so I've ordered them for the new bike.
