Aftermarket exhausts
« on: July 28, 2012, 08:24:41 PM »
Im looking for an end can for my CT. I have had a look on you tube for inspiration but the videos featured dont make any of the exhausts sound particularly brill.

Obviously an Akro would be lovely, but at 750 UK pounds :005: its quite a bit out of my price league.

There does not appear to be many firms doing the CT exhausts in the UK yet.

For those of you who have fitted aftermarket end cans, what  are you guys using. Any advice would be gratefully recieved :020:

Cheers Peter

Akro sounds sweet!
I bought a leo vince one carbon. Ive removed the baffle and it sounds very fruity. Theres quite a lot of mild pops and grumbling when throttling off. Overall Im very pleased with its loooks and sounds. I paid 280 uk pounds delivered from germany-bargain :046:

Personally I'd go for the Akro...I've had them on a number of bikes and never been disappointed with the sound or the quality.

I did check out Arrow, Leo Vince and Remus last night (their sites and YouTube) but I still feel Akro is the right way forward.

Yes, it's gonna cost the best of a grand BUT it'll look superb and the note will be - as they say in the States - awesome.

Let us know which way you go and post a video, eh?

Got to admit, having commuted a couple of times on the new CT, I am definitely getting a noisier exhaust !
I have a Beowolf and the F8GS and a twin port Blueflame on the Blackbird and when I'm slowly filtering cars do hear me and generally move out of the way (maybe the HID Headlights help as well!) but yesterday while tootling between the cars even I couldn't hear the exhaust !
So, another safety feature to be fitted, pity there aint too much choice at the moment tho cos I aint paying for an Akro !
LeoVince seem ok and they are a sensible price so a bit more research needed !!

just hit the go button on an akra - really like the look of the black arrow and its half the price but didn't find a sound file and no tab for the centerstand (dont have but might want)

looking forward to getting it - should have it on the bike for this coming weekend  :046:
