« on: June 12, 2012, 03:21:03 PM »
Hi all, just joined today and getting my new CT at the end of June, can't wait. just a question - i have a Givi plate and box from a previous bike and wonder will the plate bolt straight down to the base on the CT or do i need an adaptor kit? Honda accessories are crazy prices here in Ireland. Any info greatly apprec. Thanks

Well, I bought a Varadero plate off Ebay for my Tiger so when I sold the bike I kept the plate. I had to drill a couple of holes in the mounting plate to match the CT rack but I now have a plate on both Varadero and CT and they share the Vara topbox which is made by Givi for Honda.
Suits the bike fine in metallic black. Also has the back rest and I fitted a Givi carrier rack to the top of the box, handy for tieing things on to!
Givi pannier racks ordered today as well, hopefully get the luggage on soon.

Hi thetrecker
Today I'm goig to leave my bike for his first service (1000km).
They are going to instal the SR1110 on my bike. I didn't ordered the "PLR1110
Rapid release tubular side-case holder for MONOKEY® cases" because they didn't have the price.
With the SR1110 you don't have to do holes on the original plate; it fits perfectly.
It doesn’t matter the fast you go, but the far you arrive ...

Thanks VaraGirona, exactly what i need to know, i will get on the case(or base!) as soon as possible. Thanks again

Hi ojo, you are clocking up big miles very quickly on the new CT, i've just sold my much loved Aprilia Caponord Raid and awaiting to pick up CT soon.Hope its a good replacment and i am looking foward with all your positive comments. We need your tourism here in this impoverished land.I live on the east coast on Ireland and all the Scenery is on the west and north coast but if you want any info or to stay at my house for a night -its no problem, happy to meet like minded people. Cheers :008:
